[inducer T-cell]
abbr. Tind cells (T-inducer cells). This subset of regulatory T-cells has been identified by Ndhlovu et al (2010). The cells have the markers CD4(+), CD39(+), CD25(-), and FOXP3(-). These cells significantly increase the proliferation and cytokine production of responder T-cells in a dose-dependent manner. They produce a distinct repertoire of cytokines in comparison to the other CD4(+) T-cell subsets. The authors have proposed that these cells may counterbalance the suppressive activity of suppressor regulatory T-cells
