This peptide, termed SP6024 by the authors, has been identified by bioinformatics analysis. The sequence is derived from a caspase-10 and has been shown to be a potent inducer of endothelial cell apoptosis in the presence of bFGF and VEGF, causing the release of caspase-3 and caspase-7 (Koshimaki et al, 2012).
