abbr. Ang-3. Mouse angiogenin-3 has been identified by virtue of its transcriptional activation in NIH 3T3 fibroblasts coincident with transformation by the chimeric leukemia oncogene, E2a-Pbx1. The protein has been identified independently as EF-5 [E2a-Pbx1 target gene in fibroblasts 5] by Fu and Kamps (1997), a gene expressed in NIH 3T3 fibroblast following transformation with the E2a-Pbx1 oncoprotein. Other names for angiogenin-3 in databanks are Angrp2 [Angiogenin-related protein 2] and Angl [
