[Bruton's tyrosine kinase] Called also: Bruton agammaglobulinemia kinase. The cDNA has been cloned by Vetrie et al (1993), who referred to it as ATK [Agammaglobulinemia tyrosine kinase]. The gene structure has been described by Rohrer etal (1994).
BTK is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase and a key regulator of B-cell development. Cheng et al (1994) have reported that BTK interacts with SH3 domains of the protein tyrosine kinases Fyn, Lyn, and Hck, which are known to be activated upon stimulation of B-cell and T-cell
