Bonzo

This receptor, expressed in lymphoid tissues, was isolated as a receptor for simian immunodeficiency virus (Deng et al, 1997).

Bonzo is a receptor for one of the chemokines. Other names for this receptor are STRL33 and TYMSTR. The new designation for this receptor is CXCR6. Matloubian M et al (2000) have identified Bonzo as a receptor for CXCL16. For the ligand see: SR-PSOX.
