Huang J et al (2014) have reported that CCDC134 acts as an immune cytokine. CCDC134 promotes CD8(+) T-cell activation, proliferation, and cytotoxicity by augmenting expression of the T-cell effector molecules IFN-gamma, TNF-alpha, granzyme B, and perforin.
