[CD11b(+)Gr-1(dim) tolerogenic dendritic cell-like cells] This cell type with features of dendritic cells has been described by Sendo et al (2017) in SKG mice, a strain that develops interstitial lung disease resembling rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease in humans. The cells, which are CD11b(+) and Gr-1(dim) are expanded in severely inflamed lungs and approximately half of the cells also express CD11c. They are induced in vitro from monocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells with GM-CSF (possibly coming from Th17 cells, ILC1s and ILC3s innate lymphoid cells
