CD64

[CD64(+), CD64(-), CD64(bright), CD64(dim), CD64(high), CD64(low)]

This cell surface antigen is a 72 kDa glycoprotein. It is identical with hFcRI (Fc-gamma R1). The FCGR1 [Fc-gamma R1] gene is the same as FCGR1A [Fc-gamma R1A] gene. It encodes a high-affinity receptor for the Fc portion of immunoglobulin IgG and plays a pivotal role in the immune response. Human CD64 is encoded by a family of 3 genes that share over 98 % of DNA sequence homology. The other two genes are FCGR1B [Fc-gamma R1B] and FCGR1C [Fc-gamma R1C] (Maresco et al, 1996).

CD64 is expressed mainly on ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
