CTRP1
[C1q/TNF-related protein 1] abbr. C1QTNF1 [Complement C1q tumor necrosis factor-related protein 1, C1q and tumor necrosis factor related protein 1]. The protein contains a C1q-like domain found in complement component C1q subunits (see also: C1q family). A databank synonym for this protein is ZSIG37.
CTRP1 is expressed predominantly in adipocytes. It is a member of a related family of proteins with at least 10 members, several of which are expressed predominantly in adipose tissues, circulate in the blood, and are potential endocrine hormones (Wong et al, 2008).
