ChM1L
[Chondromodulin-1 like protein] Yamana et al (2001) have cloned the human, mouse, and rat genes encoding this protein of 317 amino acids. The protein is a type 2 transmembrane protein with sequence homology to chondromodulin-1. The protein expressed on the cell surface as N-glycosylated and non-N-glycosylated protein with molecular masses of 45 kDa and 40 kDa, respectively. In adult mouse tissues, ChM1L mRNA is expressed highly in eye, skeletal muscle, and whole rib.
The protein appears to be the same as Myodulin and has been described independently as Tenomodulin.
