DRAGON

[DRG11-responsive axonal guidance and outgrowth of neurite] DRAGON has been identified as a membrane-associated [glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored] protein the expression of which is transcriptionally regulated by DRG11, a transcription factor expressed in embryonic dorsal root ganglion and dorsal horn neurons that has a role in the development of sensory circuits.

DRAGON shares high sequence homology with two other GPI-anchored membrane proteins known as RGM [repulsive guidance molecule] and is known also as RGMb.
