Drosophila Neurotrophin 2

abbr. DNT2. This neurotrophic factor (Zhu et al (2008) is encoded by gene CG9972 and is being referred to also as spätzle-5 (abbr. spz5) (Parker et al, 2001). It is structurally related to neurotrophins and contains a Cystine knot structure. McIlroy et al (2013) have identified two members of the Toll receptor superfamily, Toll-6 and Toll-7, as receptors for Drosophila Neurotrophin 2.
