[Duclos antigen, Duclos blood group antigens]
The Duclos antigen is a high frequency blood group antigen (Habibi et al, 1978). The antigen has been shown to be located on RHAG [Rh-associated glycoprotein], which, in the nomenclature of CD antigens, has received the designation CD241.
Tilley et al (2010) have renamed the Duclos antigen RHAG1. They have shown that the antigen is due to a RHAG 316C>G mutation, encoding Gln106Glu.
