EGSF

[endothelial cell growth-suppressing factor] This factor (55 and 63 kDa bands in SDS-PAGE) has been purified from the serum-free conditioned medium of mouse P388D1 macrophages and also from macrophages in the presence of carboxymethylated curdlan. EGSF strongly and reversibly suppresses the proliferation of endothelial cells from bovine artery, human umbilical vein, and human dermal vas capillare endothelial cells. EGSF is not mitogenic for T-lymphocytes. The suppressor activity of the factor is not neutralized by antibodies against IL1-alpha, TNF-alpha, PF4, or ... ... ... ... ...
