[EH domains]
[Eps15 homology domain] This protein domain has been defined by Wong et al (1995), who characterized it in Eps15, a substrate of the EGF receptor tyrosine kinase. EH domains show evolutionary conservation and usually have a length of 80-100 amino acids. They contain a consensus sequence of 60 amino acids and show over 50 % identity to one another (Confalonieri et al, 2002). The EH domain usually contains a calcium binding EF-hand motif.
EH domains are protein-protein interaction domains
