Fetuin-B

also: Fetuin-beta. Approved gene symbol: FETUB. A partial cDNA encoding the rat protein has been identified by Olivier et al (1999) among genes expressed during the early phase of acute phase reaction. The gene is expressed specifically in hepatocytes in the liver and has been identified independently by Aihara et al, who called it H16G2 (1998). Human Fetuin-B (382 amino acids) is structurally related to Fetuin. Human, mouse, and rat Fetuin-B share 61 % amino acid identity. Liver-specific expression in mouse and rat is developmentally regulated and differs between species ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
