[ Fusokine]
The term Fusokines has been used for recombinant cytokines / chemokines formed by recombining two cytokines or growth factors in a single molecule. Such molecules may have greater bioavailability and therapeutic potential than individual cytokines or a combination of different cytokines. Sanchez-Lugo et al (2015) have reported, for example, that a construct fusing the two chemokines CXCL10 / XCL1 elicit a greater chemotactic effect in lymphocytes stimulated by IL2 than individual or combined cytokines in vitro. This construct also is active in vivo as shown by intratumoral chemoattraction of cells
