[GRB2-associated binder 3; GRB2-associated binding protein 3] GAB3 contains an amino-terminal pleckstrin homology domain, multiple potential sites for tyrosine phosphorylation and SH2 domain binding, and two major polyproline motifs potentially interacting with SH3 domains. The protein is a member of a protein family of adaptor and docking proteins involved in multiple signaling pathways initiated by ligands binding to receptors with protein tyrosine kinase activities and other receptors (Liu and Rohrschneider, 2002).
