[Growth arrest-specific gene-2-like-3] GAS2L3 is related to one of the gas genes, gas-2. Wolter P et al (2012) have reported that GAS2L3 is a component of the mammalian DREAM complex, a key regulator of cell cycle regulated transcription of genes required for mitosis and cytokinesis, and is required for proper cytokinesis and genomic stability. Pe'er et al (2013) have implicated GAS2L3 in mechanisms that terminate cell division, showing that overexpression of the protein specifically interferes with cell abscission. Fackler M et al (2014) have reported that GAS2L3 binds to the chromosomal passenger complex and is required for localization of GAS2L3 to the constriction zone during abscission.
