abbr. GIP (a term with multiple meanings). Two factors, GIP-1 (28 kDa) and GIP-2 (9.5 kDa), have been isolated from the serum filtrate of a patient with chronic kidney failure. GIP-1 is a member of the light chain family, and GIP-2 is the advanced glycosylation end product of Beta-2-Microglobulin.
