[Hassal's corpuscule epithelial cell]
Hassal's corpuscules are characteristic small corpuscular bodies composed of concentric, squamous-looking epithelial cells, found in the medulla of the thymus (Hassall, 1849). Raica et al (2006) have suggested that these epithelial cells may be involved in modulating the differentiation of thymocytes.
