ICE-LAP3
[ICE-like apoptotic protease-3] a cystein protease involved in cell death by apoptosis (Duan et al, 1996). ICE-LAP3 is related closely to CPP32. It is identical with MCH3 (Stennicke and Salvesen, 1997). It has been suggested that ICE-LAP3 be renamed Caspase-7 (see: Caspases) (Alnemri et al, 1996).
Stennicke and Salvesen (1997) have described an optimized buffer for investigation of the characteristics of this enzyme and other Caspases.
