IL12-p70 inhibitory activity

IL12-p70 inhibitory activity has been found to be secreted into the conditioned medium of primary fibroblasts and fibroblast cell lines but not by hematopoietic cell lines. The biochemically uncharacterized factor, the activity of which is not neutralized by antibodies against IL10, strongly inhibits IL12-p70 production by murine splenic dendritic cells but does not affect production of TNF-alpha. The factor downregulates IL12-p35 subunit transcription and expression, which impairs assembly of IL12-p70 heterodimer.
