abbr. IL2-RIF. This factor is secreted by HTLV-I-transformed T-cells isolated from patients with adult T-cell leukemia. The factor is identical with ADF (adult T-cell leukemia-derived factor). See also: IL2R/p55 inducing factor (abbr. TIA).
Another T-cell IL2 receptor inducing activity is found in the conditioned medium of a stimulated Th1 T-helper cell clone. This factor induces IL2 receptor expression and proliferation of Th1 T-helper clones. It is at present unclear whether this is a unique factor.
