[interleukin-31] This factor is produced preferentially by Th2 cells. Bilsborough et al (2006) have reported expression of IL31 in skin homing CD45RO(+) (memory) T-cells expressing cutaneous lymphocyte antigen.
IL31 is closely related to the IL6 family cytokines oncostatin M, LIF, and cardiotrophin-1.
