abbr. ITLN2. Intelectin-2 shows 91 % sequence homology with Intelectin (Pemberton et al, 2004). Lee et al (2001) have called Intelectin-2 as HL-2 [Endothelial lectin HL-2]) and identified it as the human homolog of Xenopus oocyte lectin XL-35).
The Intelectin-2 gene is absent from the C57BL/10 genome but present in the genome of BALB/c mice.
