KLK4

[Kallikrein-4; kallikrein-related peptidase 4] KLK4 is a trypsin-like serine protease (Takayama et al, 2001; Debela et al, 2006) related to, but divergent from, other members of the family of kallikreins (Korkmaz et al, 2001). The human enzyme is frequently abbreviated hK4. Originally, the protein was isolated from dental enamel matrix as EMSP1 [Enamel matrix serine proteinase 1] (Simmer et al, 1998).
