Leulectin is a soluble and bacteria-inducible pattern recognition receptors from the hepatopancreas of kuruma shrimp Marsupenaeus japonicus. It protects shrimp against Vibrio infection, sensing Vibrio flagellin through its Leucine-rich repeats and recognising LPS through a C-type lectin-like domain. Leulectin prevents bacterial colonisation and promotes phagocytosis (Wang et al, 2017).
