The Lewis X antigen (abbr. LeX, previously X-hapten or X-antigen) is a fucosylated disaccharide antigen (galactose-beta(1-4)-fucose-alpha(1-3)-N-acetylglucosamine) detected and characterized originally on epithelial cells or in body fluids and secretions (Lloyd et al, 1966). In the nomenclature of CD antigens the antigen has been given the designation CD15.
