Lung-derived growth factor-1 |
Fibroblast growth factor-12b |
||
This factor is found in conditioned medium of lung tissue fragments. It is a mitogen for certain tumor cells that preferentially metastasize into lung tissues (rat mammary adenocarcinoma, murine B6 melanoma). It is not secreted by non-metastasizing cell variants derived from the parent lines. The factor is identical with the iron transport protein Transferrin.
It may be identical with another growth factor called LDGF-1 [lung-derived growth factor-1].
