[large yellow croaker CC-Chemokine-2] This protein (73 amino acids) is a CC-Chemokine isolated from large yellow croaker (Pseudosciaena crocea). LycCC2 is expressed constitutively in many tissues, except for liver, and expression is upregulated upon stimulation with poly(I:C) or inactivated trivalent bacterial vaccine. LycCC2 shows marked chemotactic activity for peripheral blood leucocytes and may have a pro-inflammatory function in immune responses triggered by bacterial vaccine or poly(I:C) (Zhang et al, 2008).
