abbr. MSF (a term with multiple meanings). This is an operational definition for factors that reduce the migration of macrophages. See also: MIF (macrophage migration inhibition factor). The detection of MSF activity was an indication of the successful sensibilization of lymphocytes for antigens and also for cell activation (Brown et al, 1985; Bubenik etal, 1981).
