abbr. MCT-2. This peptide (formyl-Met-Thr-Asn-Ile-Arg-Lys-Ser-His-Pro-Leu-Met-Lys-Ile-Ile-Asn; MTNIRKSHPLMKIIN; Met-Thr-Asn-Ile-Arg-Lys-Ser-His-Pro-Leu-Met-Lys-Ile-Ile-Asn) has been identified by Mukai et al (2009) as a peptide in porcine hearts that causes cell activation of neutrophils.
Mitocryptide-2 corresponds to the N-terminal pentadecapeptide of porcine mitochondrial cytochrome b. Mitocryptide-2 corresponds to MT-CYB(1-15) [mitochondrial cytochrome b(1-15)] (Gabl M et al, 2018).
