[natural killer cell receptor P1B; NK-cell receptor P1B] This receptor is an inhibitory receptor expressed on NK-cells and NKT-cells. The gene has been cloned by Carlyle et al (2004). They have reported that the ligand for this receptor is OCIL [osteoclast inhibitory lectin].
In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD161b.
