NR-13

This gene is activated by the oncoprotein p60v-src encoded by the Rous sarcoma virus (RSV) genome. NR-13 encodes a protein that is a member of the BCL2 protein family and that is considered an avian homolog of BCL2. The zebrafish homolog has been identified as Nrz. The human counterpart is Nrh and the murine counterpart is BOO (Diva). A viral homolog is vnr-13.
