[platelet-endothelial cell tetraspan antigen 3] This antigen was identified originally by monoclonal antibody 14A2.H1, which detects it as glypoprotein gp27 on the cell surface of human platelets. Fitter et al (1995) have cloned the cDNA encoding PETA-3 from a library derived from the megakaryoblastic leukemia cell line MO7E. The cDNA encodes an open reading frame of 253 amino acids. A single PETA-3 transcript is detected in bone marrow stromal cells, the C11 endothelial cell line, and several myeloid leukemia cell lines. No transcripts are detected in the
