PIL-6
A cell line established from the murine plasmacytoma MOPC-104E. This cell line responds to murine and to human IL6, but not to any other cytokines and has been used as an indicator cell line for the detection of IL6 (see also: bioassays, cytokine assays) (Takai et al, 1989).
