[PP cell]
[pancreatic polypeptide cells; pancreatic polypeptide-secreting cells] These cells are found in the pancreas and produce the hormone pancreatic polypeptide (hence the acronym) (Sundler et al, 1977; Larsson et al, 1975; Ekblad and Sundler, 2002). These cells are called also F-cells (Fiocca et al, 1983), F-like cells (Buffa et al, 1978) or gamma-cells.
