[protein tyrosine kinase 3] This protein tyrosine kinase has been identified by Sánchez et al (1994) in hippocampal neurons obtained from rat embryos. Sequence analysis shows that this kinase is identical with DDR [discoidin domain receptor], which was renamed DDR1 [discoidin domain receptor 1] following identification of the related DDR:

[discoidin domain receptor]. In the nomenclature of CD antigens this receptor has been given the designation CD167a.
