Robo-4

[roundabout-4] The human robo-4 protein is a member of the subfamily of immunoglobulin superfamily proteins that is highly conserved from fruit flies (see: robo) to mammals. Expression appears to occur in a cell type specific manner in endothelial cells (Okada et al, 2007, 2008)

The Robo-4 protein (107 kDa) has been identified independently as magic roundabout (abbr. MRB) by Huminiecki et al (2002). These authors have shown that Robo-4 is expressed in endothelial cells, especially under hypoxic conditions, but not in fibroblasts, carcinoma, and neuronal cells. Magic roundabout expression in the adult is restricted exclusively to sites of active ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
