[Semaphorin 3G] This murine semaphorin has been described by Taniguchi et al (2005). It is expressed mainly in adult lung and kidney but low levels are detected also in brain, where it is expressed by granule cells of the cerebellum. SEMA3G binds to the neuropilin-2 receptor but not to neuropilin-1, and induces repulsion of sympathetic neurons, but not dorsal root ganglion axons. A databank synonym for this protein is sem2 [semaphorin 2].
