[SIGN related gene 1] This murine gene has been cloned by Park et al (2001) and Geijtenbeek et al (2002). SIGNR1 is the murine homolog of DC-SIGN (CD209) but is more closely related to the human DC-SIGN homolog L-SIGN (CD299) than to DC-SIGN itself (Geijtenbeek et al, 2002). This is the same as CD209b [CD209 antigen-like protein B] This term refers to one of five mouse proteins, which are homologs of human CD209 (see).
