Spred-1
[Sprouty-related EVH1 domain-containing protein 1] The gene encoding Spred-1 (444 amino acids) has been cloned by Wakioka et al (2001) from an osteoclast cDNA library. Spred-1 is related to Sprouty. the protein is highly expressed in IL3 dependent mouse hematopoietic cell lines and bone marrow-derived mast cells (Nonami et al, 2004). Expression has been observed in mouse brain, kidney, and colon, but not in any other tissues examined (Kato et al, 2003).
