abbr. TCF (a term with multiple meanings). This factor, which is chemotactic for neutrophils and T-lymphocytes (see also: Chemotaxis), is found in conditioned medium of human blood mononuclear leukocytes stimulated with phytohemagglutinin (Larsen et al, 1989). The amino-terminal amino acid sequence of TCF is identical with that of NAP-1 (neutrophil-activating protein-1), a factor that beolongs to the group of chemotactic factors known as chemokines.
