This synthetic peptide consists kringle domain 1 and kringle domain 2 of tissue-type plasminogen activator (tPA) kringles 1 and 2 (Ala90-Thr263). It has been reported to inhibit endothelial cell proliferation, migration, tube formation, and tumor angiogenesis in vivo (Kim et al, 2003; Lee et al, 2008; Shim et al, 2005). The antimigratory effect of TK1-2 peptide is mediated in part by interfering with integrin-alpha-2 / integrin-beta-1 (Kim et al, 2008).
