abbr. TPAR-1. Sequence analysis of two TPAR-1 cDNAs isolated from from a murine cDNA library show that they encode for proteins of 89 and 93 amino acids, respectively. The proteins show significant homology with human IL8 and its superfamily. The protein belongs to the group of CXC-Chemokines and is identical with SDF-1-alpha, SDF-1-beta, PBSF, TLSF-alpha, TLSF-beta. The approved gene symbol is CXCL12. The factor is known also as SCYB12.
