[cMoP]
[common monocyte progenitors] This cell type has been identified originally in mice. Its development is restricted to the monocyte lineage (Hettinger et al, 2013). cMoPs are thought to be derived from MDPs [macrophage and DC progenitors; macrophage and dendritic cell progenitors] (Hettinger et al, 2013; Fogg et al, 2006).
Kawamura et al (2017) have identified human cMoPs as a subpopulation of GMPs [granulocyte/macrophage progenitors] in umbilical cord blood and in bone marrow. The cells are characterised by high expression of CLEC12A and CD64 and are otherwise
