Fibrinogen-gamma(377-395) (YSMKKTTMKIIPFNRLTIG) is a fibrinogen-derived peptide that has been shown to inhibit CD11b / CD18, which functions as one receptor for fibrinogen (Ugarova et al, 1998). The gamma(377-395) sequence is a cryptic epitope that is exposed only when fibrinogen is immobilized or converted to fibrin (Lishko et al, 2002; Ugarova TP and Yakubenko, 2001).
