(-1-) visceral glomerular epithelial cells, visceral epithelial cells, glomerular visceral epithelial cells. Frequently, the term glomerular epithelial cells is used synonymously. These cells that, together with parietal epithelial, mesangial cells, and endothelial cells, form the glomerulus in the kidney (Ardaillou, 1996).
