[B-regulatory cells] abbr. Breg cells, or simply Bregs. Regulatory B-cells, by definition, have functions that go beyond the production of immunoglobulins (Vitale et al, 2010). These cells are being referred to also as Regulatory plasma cells (for overview see: Fillatreau, 2015).
Multiple subsets of regulatory B-cells exist and can be induced in response to inflammation at different stages in development (for overview see: Rosser and Mauri, 2015).
